The AGM of Ipswich Town plc takes place this evening in the gym at Portman Road (7.30pm start, doors open at 6.30pm). Since the Marcus Evans takeover last month, the plc owns a 12.5% stake in the club.

Martin Pitcher, Marcus Evans's main man on the new Town board, was in the Blues party which stayed overnight in Blackpool ahead of Saturday's game. Pitcher has joined the club board and will be voted on to the board of the plc which owns 12.5% of Town at next Monday's AGM.

Marcus Evans's takeover of Town was formally ratified by the club's shareholders at Monday evening's EGM. The proposal for Evans to take a 87.5% stake in the club received the support of 98.4% of the club's shareholding.

Town's shareholders will rubber-stamp Marcus Evans's takeover at an EGM at the Corn Exchange this evening. Evans, who will not be attending the meeting, will take an 87.5% stake in the club.
